THE INVESTIGATOR'S NOTES / CASE 006
The story behind the evidence.
THE CASE
What arrived on the desk.
Sway Dance Chicago already had its own logo and a studio built around the social side of dance. My job was not to redesign the brand. It was to run the social presence and translate the energy of the classes into content that felt clear, active, and welcoming.
THE EVIDENCE
What turned up.
- The studio offered several dance styles, so the feed needed enough structure to make the range easy to understand.
- People curious about social dance often hesitate before their first class; the content needed to lower that barrier.
- The existing identity needed to stay recognizable while supporting a more consistent stream of social content.
THE INVESTIGATION
The strategic read.
Use Sway's established logo and palette as the anchor, then build a repeatable content system around movement, community, and approachability. The strongest feed would make experienced dancers feel the energy while helping beginners picture themselves joining in.
THE MOVE
What I did about it.
- Managed the studio's social media presence and ongoing content.
- Designed branded social posts using Sway's existing logo and visual identity.
- Created content across salsa, swing, tango, bachata, group classes, and private lessons.
- Kept the voice energetic, inclusive, and welcoming to people arriving without a partner.
THE RESULT
Case conclusion.
A cohesive social system that carried the studio's in-person warmth into the feed and made its classes, range, and community easier to discover.
